We were founded in Reutlingen in 2016 as the second location of the Sprachinstitut Tübingen (SIT), an institution of the Internationaler Bund (IB) e.V., which has been supporting and promoting people in various life situations with heart and dedication since 1949.

Since the beginning, our focus has been on education and language - as the key to integration. From 1951, we supported young people from the post-war period, later adding German courses for foreign workers and exchange programs with American universities. We are particularly proud of the fact that we have been offering language courses for ethnic German repatriates and people entitled to asylum since 1977. From 1988, we also prepared managers of international organizations for their tasks.

In recent years, our commitment has been particularly evident in our support for people from crisis regions. Since 2012, we have increasingly been running publicly funded language and vocational language courses for migrants and refugees, especially for people who have come to us from Syria, Ukraine and other crisis regions as a result of war and flight. Many have found a new home with us, learned German and successfully integrated.

We are more than just a language institute - we not only offer professionally sound lessons, but also a space in which people feel understood and welcome. With over 50 years of experience and our passionate commitment to communication and practical language skills, we help our participants to be confident and self-assured in everyday life and at work. Our lessons are individualized and designed with heart - and personal consultations are available at any time.
